The school's dining hall provides a main meal for boys during two sittings at morning break and luchtime. From September 2012, we will be introducing a system of meals being charged for termly in advance to replace our cash based cafeteria sytem. Our new 3-weekly menu selection is attached here and have been reviewed by our current boys. Your son will be issued with a photocard with a bar code which will entitle him to one visit to the Dining Hall per day, either at Morning Break or Lunch. A fixed termly charge will be added to the school bill at the rate of £3.10 per school day. There is no reduction in the termly charge for fewer than five consecutive absences. Boys may choose to opt out of this system, but no food is available to purchase with cash in the Dining Hall during break or lunchtime.
Our menus include something for everyone - a 3 week cycle is attached here. Each boy is entitled to a hot main course with fresh vegetables or a salad bar selection, if preferred, together with dessert. Every day there is a hot sweet with custard, and for those who prefer something lighter there are fruit, yoghurts, melon or home made cakes. There are also sandwiches to take away and one-stop specials for hungry boys needing a fast pit stop.
We can and do cater for many different dietary requirements as well as providing halal and vegetarian meals which are well sign posted to boys. If you have any particular concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Peter Webber, our catering manager, on 0121 415 6019 or email@example.com.
The Dining Hall also provides a breakfast offer where boys can purchase cereral, toast, fruit or a full cooked breakfast for cash every morning before school from 8:00am.
Sixth formers are catered for in the Upper School Common Room where drinks and hot snacks can be purchased for cash and they can also leave the school site to purchase food at lunch time if they wish to. Sixth Formers can also opt in to the Dining Hall food provision if they would prefer to.
