More Debating Success

03 July 2009

The King Edward\'s First Team of Tim Kiely and Greg Stacey went on to further national success, finishing 12th (out of 800 teams) at the prestigious Oxford Union Debating tournament this year. The competition from all over the UK is pretty murderous, but the team narrowly missed the Grand Final of four, where Tim made a cutting floor speech anyway. A really good day in and around the famous Union chamber and buildings was had by coaches and supporters who travelled to Oxford. St Paul\'s, London might have won, but Greg is only a Division, and we have a great crop of at least seven new debaters coming up in the Fourths to suggest the headline will continue to be perpetuated.
