The Mentoring Society provides the opportunity for boys from the Shells to the Fifths to receive academic help from Sixth formers on a regular basis. The younger boys seeking help in a particular subject area are paired with a mentor who is studying the subject at IB. Such partnerships have proved very successful with benefits to all the boys concerned.
Some boys have found the sessions useful to provide a shorter term of support if they have difficulties with an individual topic and their needs can also be accommodated.
The boys enjoy learning in the relaxed atmosphere and the Society has evolved and flourished, now meeting on three lunchtime sessions per week.
