Events in 2016-17

  • In the summer term we are running our new 'Ask a Scientist' sessions where a science teacher from King Edward's School will visit primary schools to answer their science questions and do some exciting demonstrations. Please see the poster attached to this page for more details. If you would like your school to be involved in this opportunity then please complete our form.
  • On 3rd March 2017, in conjuction with the Ogden Trust, we ran a professional development day for primary science teachers on the theme 'Earth and Space'.

Previous Events

  • Our annual science quiz has seen sixteen teams of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils come to compete against each other for the prestigious KES science shield. It was won by Moseley Church of England School in 2012 and 2014, and Monkspath Primary School in 2013.
  • Four boys from King Edward's School, accompanied by colourful pictures and quizzes, visited primary schools on Friday afternoons to talk to pupils about astronomy.
  • Four boys in Year 11 devised a workshop on 'forensic science' that was delivered to primary pupils on Friday afternoons. We hope to repeat these workshops in the future.
