Arthur WH Adams, born on 27th May 1879, was admitted to King Edward’s School in January 1893. His father was a timber merchant and the family lived at Holly Lodge, Sheldon, Birmingham. Arthur left School in 1896.
In September 1914, Arthur joined the Canadian Engineers as a Sapper, and died of pneumonia in hospital on 22nd February 1915. His death was reported in the Toronto Star newspaper on 31st March 1915 and he is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery, France.
