Gap PE Assistant (Hockey)

King Edward’s School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Gap PE Assistant (Hockey) to join a strong, very supportive and friendly department in an exceptional school from 1 September 2022.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a hockey coach and assist the PE team. The role will suit anyone looking for a future in teaching or coaching, or for someone who is passionate about working with young people in sport.

The role requires the successful candidate to be available for a full-time role, including supporting extra-curricular activities in early evenings (until 6pm) and on Saturdays throughout term time. We are looking for someone who can lead the coaching of a hockey team and support the teaching of PE lessons. The ability to support the sport programme with another area of expertise, such as Strength and Conditioning or Video Analysis, would be advantageous but not essential.

Hours: 37 hours per week, including some lunchtimes/evenings/Saturdays (hours to be agreed with Director of Sport), term time only.
Salary: Actual salary £14,264 per annum.
