Science Technician (Biology)

King Edward’s School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Science Technician to join an enthusiastic, strong, very supportive and friendly department in an exceptional school from 3 September 2019.

The School has a very active science department and the successful candidate will work with a team of tehnicians to help to prepare practical experiments, provide technical support to teachers, assist with preparation for Open Days and Outreach events, and ensure the health and safety of the labs and prep rooms. Type of role: Term-time only plus three days to be worked in the holidays. 37 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.30pm Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Salary: Actual salary of £15,216 (Grade 3 SCP 6 on the support staff salary scale, £19,227 full-time equivalent).

Closing date: 9am on Monday 29 July 2019.
