Charity cycle ride

a picture of Aran Bansal with his bike

Over the last 10 days a team of 24 teachers and students have cycled over 1,350 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End via KES, the northernmost, southernmost NHS facilities and then back to the Scottish border. Through snow, rain and the occasional sun the team cycled all with the goal of raising money for NHS Charities Together, as supported by the late Sir Captain Tom Moore, an organisation which donates and funds over 250 associated NHS charities from mental health clinics to cancer research facilities. They donate over £1 million a day to these charities with the present aim of supporting many of the sections of the NHS that have been sidelined by the pandemic.

Special thanks goes to Mr Johnson (281 miles) and Mr Browning (200 miles), my Dad (140 miles) and Mr Phillips (120 miles). However, this event would have been incredibly hard to organise and run without Ben Wharton, in the Divisions, and the help of Mr Petrie and Mr Johnson. So far, the event has raised around £250. If you would like to donate, there is a JustGiving page and any donation will be greatly appreciated.

The NHS Cycling team: Aran Singh Bansal, Ben Wharton, Pavan Samra, James Corcoran, George Berry, Theo Edwards, Oliver Tinley, Bhavan Aulakh, Joshua Bobin, Varun Mohan, Mr Johnson, Mr Browning, Mr Phillips, Mr Fair, Mr Round, Mr Wareing, Ms Roll and Mr Roll.
