German scholarship success

We are delighted to report that James from Divisions has been awarded one of the 2023 scholarships offered by the Dresden Trust. This has been a very competitive application process, and James has done really well to be successful.

The Dresden Trust offers a handful of scholarships each year to talented sixth form students of German. This year was particularly hard fought. The scholarship will enable James to undertake a 4 week study period in Dresden at the end of the summer holiday and the beginning of September.

When speaking with James, he had this to say about the upcoming opportunity, “I’m already looking forward to spending three weeks in Germany during the summer – I plan to speak German the entire time so that I can put the skills learned in class to use, an opportunity that I haven’t had before. I can’t wait for the challenge and I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity!”

The Dresden Trust is a charity which aims to promote greater understanding and cultural exchange between Dresden and the UK. Full details of the programme can be found here: https://dresdentrust.org/scholarships-how-to-apply/

Congratulations once again to James for this incredible achievement!
