National Schools Chess Championship 2014

The chess team from King Edward’s School have convincingly won their league of the ECF National Schools Chess Championship to progress into the Zone Final.

On Wednesday, 15 January 2014, the King Edward’s School team made up of Aloysius Lip, Ashwin Kalyana, Mani Nijjar, Aaron Dhesi, Hugh Lilburn and Hari Nijjar beat King Edward VI Five Ways 6-0 and will proceed to the Zone Final later this term.

Early on Sunday the 7th of April, 7 boys and 15 girls from KEHS set off to take part in the annual German exchange with the Gymnasium Oldenfelde in Rahlstedt, Hamburg.

During National Careers Week, we were thrilled to host talks and events aimed at inspiring our pupils to explore diverse career paths. Throughout the week, we welcomed 19 visitors to our school, who shared their unique career journeys and participated in a Speed Networking event alongside pupils from both KES and KEHS.
