Sustainability Week

Sustainability Week at KES took place from Monday 5 to Friday 9 October. Pupils and staff learned about ways to reduce and measure their carbon footprint through a number of activities.

Our wonderful catering team served a meat-free menu for Vegetarian Day and on Thursday 8 October the KES community were encouraged to walk, cycle or take public transport to school. Despite the weather we were pleased to see so many taking part! Cyclists were even treated to a hot chocolate for their efforts.

Keep it up!

Cycle, walk, bus or train, but why drive?
Our bus driver told us that Thursday traffic is the worst
Mr Butler was inspired to insulate his home and collected it via bicycle
Our catering team provided free hot chocolate for pupils and staff who cycled to school
