To the great joy of students and staff alike, there are no academic lessons on Friday afternoons, which enables boys to try all sorts of different activities and develop new skills.
For boys in Year 7 to 9, activities include Personal, Social and Health Education, games (including some school matches), yoga, museum visits, and preparation for Shells Camps.
From Year 10 upwards, boys can choose from a range of options including Leadership, Combined Cadet Force, Personal Service Group, Partnerships, Stage Crew and many more.
Having an afternoon per week dedicated to co-curricular activities provides an opportunity for boys to develop their social skills ready for life at university and beyond.
Options taken through the Friday afternoons activities programme can also fulfil parts of the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) element of the IB Diploma, which all boys will be working towards in the Sixth Form.
