Prestigious Arkwright Scholarships awarded

In October Xiaofan Zhang, class of 2015, and Gabriel Yoong in the Divisions were awarded prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarships.

Xiaofan Zhang received the Arkwright Undergraduate Scholarship worth £12,000. The Scholarship will support Xiaofan throughout his Engineering studies at Selwyn College, Cambridge. Xiaofan is one of only three students nationally to be awarded an Undergraduate Scholarship, for which he went through a gruelling interview beating over 70 other students in the process.

Gabriel Yoong was awarded an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship to support him during his sixth form studies. Scholars receive £600 to support their technical courses and have access to a range of exciting opportunities to learn more about engineering, such as mentoring and company visits. Schools receive £400 per Scholarship awarded to their students.
