Meet the School Nurse

Mrs Heyes

Since obtaining her Nursing degree from the University of Birmingham in 2003 and qualifying as a registered children’s nurse, Mrs Heyes has worked both in a district general hospital and on a surgical ward at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. She also has over 10 years’ experience in independent schools, providing first aid and tailored support for pupils with long‑term health conditions.

Her role includes responding to pupils who require first aid or become unwell during the school day, as well as acting as an advocate for pupils with long‑term conditions, ensuring they have the provision they need to stay safe and get the most out of their education at KES. She is keen to encourage pupils to make positive decisions about their health as they grow into young adults, and she is a key part of our pastoral team.
