Stephen Campbell, former Chairman of the Independent Schools Governing Body (ISGB), very sadly passed away suddenly on Monday 5 October.

Stephen attended King Edward’s from 1971 to 1978 and studied law at Liverpool University. He had a successful career as a barrister in Birmingham and combined this with a deep commitment to King Edward’s and to the Foundation. He was a Governor of the ISGB and of the Foundation from 2000 until 2015, and served as Bailiff of the Foundation and as Chairman of ISGB from 2004 to 2008. In 2009 he became the first Chairman of The King Edward’s School Birmingham Trust, a position that he held until January of this year.

All of the school community extends its deepest sympathy to Stephen’s family.
