Mr Quayle is Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Designated Safeguarding Lead at King Edward’s School. Prior to this, he was Assistant Head (Pastoral) at Winchester College, having also been Head of Sixth Form and Director of Higher Education there, and started his career teaching English, latterly as Deputy Head of English and Head of Year at Magdalen College School, Oxford.
His academic interests include twentieth century Irish writing; the longer novels of Charles Dickens; autobiography and autofiction; and contemporary poetry. He holds a Masters degree from Emmanuel College, Cambridge and a Masters degree from Keble College, Oxford, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Masters qualification in Investment Management.
Outside of work, Mr Quayle enjoys running, reading and baking. He lives with his wife, newborn daughter and two labradors, who between them manage to keep things busy!
