Stage is set for a new performing arts centre
A new £11m performing arts centre for King Edward's School and King Edward VI High School for Girls will be opened with two special concerts.
School to North Pole charity run
Pupils from King Edward's School, Birmingham will be attempting to run 4,170km, the approximate distance from the School to the North Pole, to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Badminton 2012 National School Championships
For the first time this year King Edward's entered 2 teams in the National Schools Team competition - in the K4 event for years 10 and 11 we failed by the narrowest of margins in the Area Finals, losing 3-2 in a very close match with King Edwards Camp Hill.
Senior Schools’ Challenge – On the Way to Victory
Having won the Regionals late in the Autumn Term, the KES Senior Schools' Challenge team - Ben Fernando (c), Andrew Macarthur, Yanbo Yin and Nick Wyatt - travelled to the Perse School in Cambridge to play the (single) Inter-Regional round of the competition.
Success in Maths Olympiad
In Round 1 of the British Maths Olympiad (towards the end of last term), Vishal Patil scored 60 / 60, an astonishing achievement, which (unsurprisingly) placed him equal first.
