Birdwatching Club

This term has been extremely enjoyable for Birdwatching Club as we have been thoroughly active even during this period of lockdown. 

This week, a dramatic event occurred in Mr Porter’s garden, where his spotted flycatcher young have unfortunately been predated on, likely by great spotted woodpeckers.

The average lifespan of common garden birds varies a lot as we can see from this table:

Remembrance Day Ceremony 2025

On Remembrance Day, King Edward’s School stood united in honouring the courage of those who have served. We held the Remembrance Ceremony on the Parade Ground led by our Combined Cadets Force (CCF).

Shells’ Castleton Trip

The experience was like no other; we traversed through the cave, wading through puddles, and we even had an outstanding experience of cave diving. We had to crawl through very small holes, but I managed to do so and had a lovely time.
