Friday Afternoon Challenge goes global!

Shizhe has been spending lockdown in Yangzhou, China. It hasn’t stopped him from remaining fully involved in the KES community. See not only last week’s article on Clef Club – but look at some of the photos that he’s been uploading as part of the “Friday Afternoon Challenge” to get out and explore your local area! It’s the only war memorial I’ve seen that looks anything like that!

From KES First XV to a pro contract with the Newport Dragons

Daniel has made an enormous contribution to school life at KES. A gifted all-rounder, he captained the First XV rugby team to the national finals at Twickenham, represented the school in water polo at national level, and took part in countless music concerts.

Having succeeded in the competition, we were then given the opportunity to partake in an online Q&A session with the ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano, which was a very interesting and useful experience, where we learned a lot about life as an astronaut, especially what it is really like to spend time on the ISS.
