King Edward’s School and King Edward VI High School for Girls will be investing an extra £3m on Assisted Places in September 2014.

The King Edward Foundation already spends over £2m each year on Assisted Places in the two schools and the alumni of King Edward’s School have also raised £6m for this purpose in the last four years.

John Claughton, Chief Master at King Edward’s said: “Last year 35 boys came into the school on Assisted Places. This new investment will take that number close to 50. This will make a massive difference to the accessibility of this school and that is central to our purpose.”
